OLD BUSINESS: Mike Jones-Planning Board • Application update on the La Mer Beachfront Resort construction. Councilmember Bodnar- City Council • Bike and Pedestrian bridge application package has been submitted for the permits. • City event updates. • Native Plant sale at the Cape May Nature Center. • Run Through History 5K. • Historic Preservation awards. • City with Open House. Paul Dietrich- City Manager • Project updates o Harborview Park boardwalk construction, estimated completion June. o New pavilion and seating construction have started at Harborview Park. o Promenade Preservation Project surface update. o Water treatment plan Phase 1a bid. o Police Station construction update. o Lead pipe project update. o Life Headquarters ribbon cutting May 1st. o EC Electric Efficiency update, 14% savings. John Boecker • Jacob Jones memorial project presentation. Justine Gaver-Magariel • Columbia University Capstone update, presenting to City Council May 5th. David Scheffler • Environmental Commission members send a letter to the city manager with their approval of the bike and pedestrian bridge project. NEW BUSINESS OPEN TO PUBLIC • No Comments. DISCUSSION: Charlotte Todd • History of Earth Day and Arbor Day. Sarah Stevenson • Beach shower water saving signage. ADUOURNMENT: A motion to adjourn the meeting at 11:55 a.m. Next meeting is Tuesday, May 26th, 2026, at 11 a.m. in Cape May City Hall auditorium.
