OLD BUSINESS: Mike Jones-Planning Board • The Jetty application was voted down. • No new applications. Councilmember Bodnar- City Council • Cape May Nature Trails are officially open and grand opening celebration was a success. • Starting a discussion on bring programming to the nature trail in the future. • Desalination Plant update and presentation discussion. Kim Gronendahl • ANJEC great was not accepted, and Gretchen Whitmen will follow up with more information. NEW BUSINESS David Scheffler • I would like to start working on programming at the Cape May Nature Trail in collaboration with the Recreation Department and Environmental Commission, asking for any ideas from the commission. • Beginning to design Osprey Programming at the Cape May Nature Trail. OPEN TO PUBLIC • No Comments. DISCUSSION: Charlotte Todd • Mid Atlantic Center for the Arts bus tours visiting Cape May City, they should be supplied with information on Cape May natural sites. • According to the NJ Audubon this is National Pollinator Week. • Facts about bees and horseshoe crabs. • Water and utility conservation and the best practices. • Seed packets containing wildflower seeds. David Scheffler • Perry St. clean-up scheduled July 8th. • Dark skies update. Harborfest • Two tables on the Nature Center grounds running crafts.
