MINUTES:
The minutes from June 24th, 2025 – Charlotte Todd made the motion, Randell Nuschke seconded, all approved
with no changes.
OLD BUSINESS:
Mike Jones-Planning Board
• No new applications.
Councilmember Bodnar- City Council
• No updates (Absent)
Gretchen Whitman
• Community yard sale update and how does the community apply and promote an event like this.
Gretchen will do more research on nearby community yard sales to get ideas on best practices.
• Gretchen thinks the City of Cape May still has 2 years left on the National Wildlife Certification, she
will confirm.
NEW BUSINESS
David Scheffler
• Osprey nest camera installment project.
OPEN TO PUBLIC
• Gary Snyder, 105 1st Avenue – Presented material on proposed pedestrian bridge and he opposes this
project and its environmental impacts.
• Hunter Cochrane , 1429 New Jersey Avenue – Presented information on a memorial proposal that he
opposes.
DISCUSSION:
Charlotte Todd
• I would like to continue with a printed publication listing local parks and resources.
David Scheffler
• Cove Beach clean-up scheduled July 24th.
Gretchen
• I would like to still consider a nature scavenger hunt without grant money.
• Recommend conserve water signage for public showers.
ADUOURNMENT:
A motion to adjourn the meeting at 11:58 p.m. Next meeting is Tuesday, July 22nd, 2025, at 11 a.m. in
Cape May City Hall auditorium.
