The minutes from July 22nd, 2025 – Kim Gronendahl made the motion, Randell Nuschke seconded, all
approved with no changes.
OLD BUSINESS:
Mike Jones-Planning Board
• No new applications.
Councilmember Bodnar- City Council
• No updates (Absent)
Gretchen Whitman
• No update on yard sale project
• Community wildlife habitat’s check list discussed.
o Can we post on the city’s website information on the Wildlife Habitat Certification?
o Gretchen will apply for the Community Habitat Certification.
o This certification includes surrounding towns and schools.
NEW BUSINESS
Justine Gaver-Magariel
• Updates on the original Capstone desalination plant presentation, because of the exceptional work
involved the project will be continued to stage two through Applied Climate.
• Columbia would like to do another Capstone study focusing on historic preservation and coastline
resilience.
David Scheffler
• Harbor View Park landscape plan presented.
• Monarch Pledge presentation and certification goals.
• Dune Day planting presentation and planning.
• Wildflower garden at Cape May Nature Trail.
OPEN TO PUBLIC
DISCUSSION:
Charlotte Todd
• Would like environmental ordinances more public facing.
• Compliance being enforced on ordinances.
• Firefly gardens conversation.
Gretchen Whitman
• Public space landscaping opportunities, Grethen will do more research.

• Cove Beach clean-up scheduled September 25th Perry St.
