City of Cape May Planning Board Meeting Minutes Tuesday, October 10, 2023 Opening: The meeting of the City of Cape May Planning Board was called to order by Chairperson Bill Bezaire at 6:30 PM in the City Hall Auditorium. In compliance with the Open Public Meetings Act, adequate notice was provided. Pledge of Allegiance Roll Call: Mr. Bezaire, Chairperson Present Mr. Jones, Vice Chairperson Present Mr. Crowley Present Mr. Gorgone Present Mr. Lundholm Present Mayor Mullock Absent Mrs. Reed Present Councilmember Yeager Present Vacant --------- Mr. Maloy Alt # 1 Absent Mr. Padussis Alt # 2 Absent Also Present: Richard King, Esquire, Board Solicitor Karen Keenan, Board Secretary Minutes: Motion made by Mr. Jones to approve the meeting minutes of September 12, 2023, seconded by Mr. Gorgone and carried 7-0. Those in favor: Mr. Gorgone, Councilmember Yeager, Mrs. Reed, Mr. Crowley, Mr. Lundholm, Mr. Jones, Mr. Bezaire. Those opposing: None. Those abstaining: None. Application(s): Bogle Investment Properties, LLC 502 Washington Street Block 1050 Lot(s) 9 This application was tabled at the September 12, 2023 meeting. Solicitor King announced this application is adjourned to be heard at the November 28, 2023 meeting with no further notice required. City of Cape May Planning Board Meeting Minutes, October 10, 2023 1 Discussion: Zoning Board of Adjustment Decisions 2022 Chairperson Bezaire reviewed the report and did not see any pattern of the decisions. Solicitor King said the Zoning Board sometimes sees a pattern in the decisions and makes a recommendation to the Planning Board for consideration of zoning changes. The Zoning Board did not make any recommendation for changes. There was discussion on the variances for pools, front porches in Village Greene and lot coverage. 2023 Hazard Mitigation Plan Update Chairperson Bezaire said most of the points in the update are in the master plan. Member Crowley described the report as comprehensive. Motion made by Mr. Gorgone to affirm the 2023 Hazard Mitigation Plan Update, seconded by Councilmember Yeager and carried 7-0. Those in favor: Mr. Gorgone, Councilmember Yeager, Mrs. Reed, Mr. Crowley, Mr. Lundholm, Mr. Jones, Mr. Bezaire. Those opposing: None. Those abstaining: None. Payment of Bills Motion made by Mr. Jones to approve the payment of bills, seconded by Mr. Lundholm and carried 7-0. Those in favor: Mr. Gorgone, Councilmember Yeager, Mrs. Reed, Mr. Crowley, Mr. Lundholm, Mr. Jones, Mr. Bezaire. Those opposing: None. Those abstaining: None.
