City of Cape May Planning Board Meeting Minutes Tuesday, October 22, 2024 Opening: The meeting of the City of Cape May Planning Board was called to order by Chairperson Bill Bezaire at 7:00 PM in the City Hall Auditorium. In compliance with the Open Public Meetings Act, adequate notice was provided. Roll Call: Mr. Bezaire, Chairperson Present Mr. Jones, Vice Chairperson Present Mr. Riggs Present Mr. Crowley Present Mr. Gorgone Present Mr. Lundholm Present Mayor Mullock Present Mrs. Reed Absent Councilmember Yeager Present Mr. Padussis Alt # 1 Present Mr. Crippen Alt # 2 Present Also Present: Richard King, Esquire, Board Solicitor Craig Hurless, Board Engineer and Planner Karen Keenan, Board Secretary Resolution(s): Motion made by Mr. Jones to adopt Resolution number 10-22-2024: 1, Jason and Cynda Kliewe, 501 Hughes Street, Block 1049, Lot(s) 10.01, seconded by Mr. Lundholm and carried 8-0. Those in favor: Mayor Mullock, Councilmember Yeager, Mr. Crowley, Mr. Lundholm, Mr. Riggs, Mr. Padussis, Mr. Jones, Mr. Bezaire. Those opposing: None. Those abstaining: Mr. Gorgone. Minutes: Motion made by Mr. Jones to approve the meeting minutes of August 27, 2024, seconded by Mr. Padussis and carried 8-0. Those in favor: Mayor Mullock, Councilmember Yeager, Mr. Crowley, Mr. Lundholm, Mr. Riggs, Mr. Padussis, Mr. Jones, Mr. Bezaire. Those opposing: None. Those abstaining: Mr. Gorgone. Discussion: Prioritization of Recommended Changes in the City's Master Plan, Development Regulations, and Zoning Map - Land Use Element City of Cape May Planning Board Meeting Minutes, October 22, 2024 1 Engineer Hurless shared his October 15, 2024 memorandum with the board. The board discussed some of the reexamination recommendation items including revision of some of the definitions in §525-4 and further discussion of some of the definitions to follow. The board also addressed standards for the S1 District with revision and addition to the code suggested for later consideration by city council. The S2 District was evaluated and determined no changes are recommended. The board to continue discussion on the reexamination at subsequent meetings. Payment of Bills Motion made by Mr. Gorgone to approve the payment of bills, seconded by Mr. Jones and carried 9-0. Those in favor: Mayor Mullock, Councilmember Yeager, Mrs. Reed, Mr. Crowley, Mr. Lundholm, Mr. Riggs, Mr. Padussis, Mr. Jones, Mr. Bezaire. Those opposing: None. Those abstaining: None.
