OLD BUSINESS: Mike Jones-Planning Board • No updates. Councilmember Bodnar- City Council • Phase 1 of Lafayette Street Park construction will begin this spring till fall with a halt on construction during peak summer months, construction will commence in the fall 2025. • Plastic dust ordinance was passed by city council. Justine Gaver-Margiel • Water audit o 24 completed surveys would make a completed audit. o Water bills are public knowledge making this a good resource for audit research. NEW BUSINESS OPEN TO PUBLIC • No Comments. DISCUSSION: Charlott Todd • Charlott spoke on Gretchen Whitman’s retirement from the Cape May Nature Center and all her accomplishments as the director. • Charlott spoke on Florida’s Department of Education and their changes on climate change in school textbooks. • ADUOURNMENT: A motion to adjourn the meeting at 12:00 p.m. Next meeting is Tuesday, March 25th, 2025, at 11 a.m. in Cape May City Hall auditorium.
