Sub committees review and critique 2022 Goals and progress. Brainstorm for 2023 Goals 1. PA System Sub Committee Coordinator: Harry Back Sub-Committee: Lorraine, Harry, Alex/Mike, Steve, Eric, William 2023 Goals and Planning Next Steps: Determine fnance in utility fund per Neil Young Community Members involved: Joe McLaughlin-consultant Support needed: Projected Completion Date: Spring/Summer 2023 2. Beach Replenishment Coordinator: Lorraine Baldwin Sub Committee: Harry Back, Steve Steger, Roy Sundstrom, Yogi Kurtz, Christine DiDonato 2023 Goals and Planning Demonstration Project-RFP Update Community Members involved: Marc DeBlasio Support needed: Projected Completion Date: 2024/2 year estimate. 3. Beach and Surf Zone Safety: Educating the Public Coordinator: Tom Medvecky Sub-Committee: Tom, Steve, Harry, Christine, Katie, Roy 2023 Goals and Planning Lifeguards to Lead on Beach Safety Education • Update on Funds Available • 2 visits per school: April and June 1st Visit: Curriculum on Beach Safety and mention Junior Guards 2nd Visit: Review of Beach Skills and present (with intent to excite) on Junior Guard Program • Feedback on Spring program from school leadership • Outline steps to get permission from the schools for Curriculum presentation • Resources needed: number of guards needed • T-shirt, incentives for children • Prep time needed: Curriculum-January time frame • Target completion date: Update • Financial support needed • Lifeguards engage in Beach Safety education in season on beach 1. Need support from Leadership 2. Provide incentive 3. Roy to update on videos • PA System announcement: safety: water conditions, tides, weather • 2nd Annual CMBP Open House. Demonstration and Appreciation o Junior guard Demonstration o Lifeguard Demonstration o Breakfast Community Members involved: TBD Support needed: Projected Completion Date: 4. Marketing Coordinator: Steve Steger Sub-Committee: Tom, Steve, Sara, Eric, Katie 2023 Goals and Planning • Junior Guard/Lifeguard Creator Content Challenge o video submission on beach safety/information-award/prize but CMBP can post them to website for education and to drive attention to CMBP website • 2022 Beach Safety video completion date? Goal: November 16th • Literature for Public: Discuss with Hotels what they would like to make available to their guests; Tools for getting info to hotel guests: Literature: rack cards w/ QR code, digital, physical cards, etc o Literature created and printed by February 1st?
