Recommendation: TAKE the following action:
1. WAIVE the formal bidding procedures as defined by the Carson
Municipal Code, Section 2610, as allowed by Section 2611 (g).
2. AUTHORIZE the City of Carson to utilize a Cooperative
Purchasing Agency, Sourcewell, as allowed by Section 2611 (g)
and issue purchase orders for an amount not-to-exceed $200,000.
3. APPROVE the award of term purchase order contract for office
and janitorial supplies to Staples for the period beginning August
18, 2020 to April 06, 2025, for not-to-exceed amount of $200,000
per fiscal year.

Striping, to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder,
Superior Pavement Markings, Inc., in the amount of $51,862.00,
and APPROVE the proposed Construction Contract (Exhibit No.

2. AUTHORIZE the expenditure of construction contingencies in
the amount of $5,186.20 (10%) for any unforeseen construction
work such as material testing and other work that may be
necessary to complete Project No. 1413-3.
3. AUTHORIZE the Mayor to execute the Construction Contract

Recommendation: DISCUSS and PROVIDE direction to staff on what it would like to
see included in an educational campaign to communicate and
outreach to Carson residents on the Sales Tax measure, including
considering an allocation of up to $40,000 for an outside
consultant to assist in educating voters, within all legal constraints,
on the City's financial condition, service needs and infrastructure
needs.

Recommendation: TAKE the following actions:
1. CONSIDER and APPOINT, REAPPOINT or REMOVE
members to the Commissions, Committees and Boards; and/or
2. REAFFIRM, RE-DESIGNATE and/or DESIGNATE member
assignments to the City Council Sub-Committees; and/or
3. REAFFIRM, RE-DESIGNATE and/or DESIGNATE delegates
and alternates to the City-Affiliated Organizations; and
4. DIRECT the City Clerk to notify all affected appointments,
reappointments or removed members and/or all affected
City-Affiliated Organizations of this action in writing;
5. IF APPLICABLE, DIRECT the City Clerk to post and publish in
accordance with the Maddy Act.
