PUBLIC INFORMATION
The public may address the members of the City Council on any matters within the
jurisdiction of the City Council or on any items on the agenda of the City Council
during the designated public comment period. Because of the threat of COVID-19
(the “Coronavirus”) you are urged to take all appropriate health safety precautions.
Due to COVID-19 protocols, City Council Chambers is set at a limited capacity (18
persons) with 100 persons allowed at the Community Center.
All staff and members of the public will be required to wear a mask before entering
and while inside City Hall or the Carson Community Center, a temperature check will
be enforced, proof of vaccination and/or a recent COVID-19 test within 3 days of the
City Council Meeting will be required. A staff member will ask a series of COVID-19
symptom questions before you will be cleared to enter either facility to participate in
the meeting. Should the City Council Chamber exceed the set capacity, members of
the public including speakers providing public comments will be directed to the
Community Center for participation in the City Council Meeting.
For members of the public who do not have proof of full vaccination or a COVID-19
test within 3 days of the City Council Meeting, Northshore Clinical Labs can provide
a PCR/Rapid COVID-Test. Their hours on regular City Council meeting days are
from 10:30 am – 8:00 pm. They are located in the Carson Sheriff’s Station public
parking lot across the street from City Hall. There is no cost for the Rapid test.

Center on the day of the Meeting, public comments will be accepted by the City
through the following 3 methods up until two hours prior to the meeting’s published
start time on the date of the meeting. Comments received will be circulated to the
City Council and incorporated into the record. All public comments regardless of
how they are submitted should indicate the Agenda item you wish to address. If your
