SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CARTERVILLE CITY COUNCIL TUESDAY, JANUARY 26, 2016 The meeting was held in the Council Chamber with Mayor Bradley M. Robinson presiding. The Mayor explained that the meeting was called to discuss and/or approve the hiring of a Deputy Police Chief and the ad for the Citizen’s Advisory Members to the Standing Committees. The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. ROLL CALL Bradley M. Robinson Mayor Present Michele A. Others present were: Janice McConnaughy, HR Specialist; Heather Reno, Police Chief; John Frost, Retired Assistant Chief of Police; Kimbra Frost; Retia Watson, Bookkeeper/Secretary; and Mr. and Mrs. Stan Diggs, State Police Officer. Recognition of Guests – No Comments The Mayor announced that the candidate that was chosen for the position of Deputy Chief of Police has withdrawn his name from consideration. Therefore, we will have to advertise for the position again. The Mayor asked about advertising for community candidates for the Citizen Advisory Members to the Standing Committees. The qualifications and applications for these positions are now complete. Motion 1: Oetjen moved and Gooden seconded to advertise for the Citizen Advisory Members to the Standing Committees.
