Three or more Council members may also attend this meeting, during which the items listed herein will be discussed. ** ALL TIMES ARE APPROXIMATE ** DINNER FOR BOARD MEMBERS CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order at 6:02 p.m. by Board Member Hovanetz. ROLL CALL Present 4 - Richard Morton, Scott Amaral, Christopher Hovanetz, and Dave Perry Not Present 1 - Ziggy Guetensberger Attendance 3 - Sandra Aguilar, Joseph Montoya, and George Teal CERTIFICATION OF MEETING Recording Secretary, Sandra Aguilar, confirmed that the notice of this meeting and the agenda had been posted and witnessed in accordance with the Open Meetings Law. APPROVAL OF MINUTES BOBA Approval of December 2, 2019, Board of Building Appeals Meeting Minutes 2020-001 Attachments: 12-2-19 BOBA MINUTES Moved by Amaral, seconded by Morton, that BOBA minutes of the December 2, 2019 minutes be approved as written. The motion passed by the following vote: 4-0 Yes: 4 - Hovanetz, Perry, Morton, and Amaral Not Present: 1 - Guetensberger UNSCHEDULED PUBLIC APPEARANCES None TOWN COUNCIL UPDATE Board of Building Appeals Meeting Minutes - Final March 2, 2020 Council member George Teal reported that it has been a relatively quiet quarter on Council with few major items. There have been items on buying more water for the Town and approving design for water projects. In tomorrow's Council agenda, Public Works is presenting the $7 million paving contracts for the year. Council member Teal described the Aquifer Storage and Recovery well projects in the Terrain that will have also down-hole power generation and commented on several additional water projects and topics. BOARD MEMBER ITEMS None ITEMS FROM STAFF A. Chief Building Official's Update Chief Building Official Montoya commented on the Encore project, public parking issues and status of building permits for the project. Montoya reminded the Board that the Development Services report is available. Most of the department is currently at the Colorado Chapter of the International Code Council March Institute receiving continuing education in order to maintain certifications. Montoya updated the board on Whole Foods is close to being final, Dutch Brothers Coffee is going into Good Times, LensCrafters is going into Promenade and several multi-family units are going into the Meadows. Target is simply resetting their stores and the construction on Crystal Valley Parkway, across from the fire station is currently in financial limbo. Millers Landing has completed the remediation of the old dump and the development company is begining on the inground infrastructure, building pads with the intention of selling them for office space and a hotel.
