Hearing Officer Richard McManus Liquor License Authority Meeting Minutes - Final Tuesday, April 30, 2019 9:00 AM Town Hall 100 N. Wilcox Street Castle Rock, CO 80104 This hearing is open to the public. All times indicated on the agenda are approximate. Three or more Councilmembers may also attend this hearing, during which the items listed herein will be discussed. CALL TO ORDER NEW LIQUOR LICENSE APPLICATIONS LLA 2019-005 New Fermented Malt Beverage License: Natural Grocers Richard McManus, Hearing Officer, opened the hearing at 9:00 am. Lisa Anderson, Town Clerk, read the findings that the applicant was sent to the State concurrently, the applicant had a Master File with the state who performed the background check, that public notice was posted at the location and published in the newspaper, and that the petition was found to show the application meets the needs and desires of the neighborhood. McManus announced the boundaries for the petition and heard no objection, and entered the packet into the record. Kevin Coates was the attorney present to represent the applicant. TIPS training is provided to all management and computer based training for all employees. Hunter Whitmyer from Natural Grocers and Eva Garretson from Liquor Pros who performed the the petition were sworn in by McManus. Garretson stated they surveyed the area within one mile from the premise and received a positive response. No public in attendance. McManus closed the public hearing. McManus found the Applicant is of good moral character, the inhabitants of the neighborhood desire the license be granted, the license will meet the reasonable requirements of the neighborhood, all Town and State law requirements have been met, and that, based on these findings, the Authority approves issuance of a Fermented Malt Beverage Liquor License for Vitamin Cottage Natural Food Markets, Inc. dba Natural Grocers. Liquor License Authority Meeting Minutes - Final April 30, 2019 ADJOURN McManus adjourned the hearing at 9:15 am.
