MINUTES OF THE CENTENNIAL CITY COUNCIL Regular City Council Meeting 7:00 PM Monday, October 7, 2019 A Regular Meeting of the City Council was held on this date in the Council Chambers at 13133 E. Arapahoe Road, Centennial, Colorado. Martha Shilling, 7061 S. Quince Street, discussed residential parking and the proposed ordinance. Mike Rogers, 5455 E Dry Creek Circle, discussed concerns with the proposed ordinance. Andrea Suhaka, 6864 S Ulster Circle, discussed residential parking and the proposed ordinance and read a statement from Walnut Hills citizen Frank Haskins in support. Ron Schmidt, 5453 E. Dry Creek Circle, discussed residential parking and the proposed ordinance. Sean Figgins, 7265 S Quebec Court, discussed residential parking and the proposed ordinance. Barbara Brooks, 7275 S. Quebec Court, discussed residential parking and the proposed ordinance. Debbie Freiheit, 8126 E. Long Place, discussed residential parking and the proposed ordinance. Mark Regan, 6609 S Locust Way, discussed residential parking and the proposed ordinance. Patt Keliel, 7242 S. Franklin Street, discussed residential parking and the proposed ordinance. Council Member Penaloza moved to Approve ORDINANCE 2019-O-25 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CENTENNIAL, COLORADO, AMENDING SECTION 8- 1-30 OF THE CENTENNIAL MUNICIPAL CODE CONCERNING PARKING RESTRICTIONS FOR RECREATIONAL VEHICLES, COMMERCIAL VEHICLES, AND MOTOR VEHICLES WITH THE FOLLOWING MODIFICATIONS: ADDING FOR THE WORD “CONTINUOUSLY” AFTER STORED IN SECTION 3(2)(D). Council Member Weidmann seconded the motion. With Mayor Piko, Council Member Moon, Council Member Lucas, Council Member Turley, Council Member Alston, Council Member Maurer, Council Member Penaloza, Council Member Sutherland, Council Member Weidmann voting AYE, and (None) voting NAY; Absent: 0. THE MOTION Passed. b Vehicle Noise Regulations and Enforcement; 8:05 PM Elisha Thomas, Deputy City Manager, presented. Chief Thompson of the Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office gave clarifying comments. Consensus was to not to go forward with any changes to the current Code and to not use any more staff time on education or communications. GENERAL BUSINESS 14 Other Matters as May Come Before Council; 8:31 PM Council Member Moon requested a feasibility study regarding a City-wide residential garbage and recycling services. Consensus was to not go forward with the study. Council Member Moon requested a feasibility study to put composting/public toilets for on the City's property for use 24-hours with access for the homeless. Consensus was to not go forward with the study. Council Memeber Alston requested that the value statement be displayed on City property. Council Member Sutherland seconded the motion. With Mayor Piko, Council Member Moon, Council Member Lucas, Council Member Turley, Council Member Alston, Council Member Maurer, Council Member Penaloza, Council Member Sutherland, Council Member Weidmann voting AYE, and (None) voting NAY; Absent: 0.
