MINUTES OF THE CENTENNIAL CITY COUNCIL Regular City Council Meeting 7:00 PM Monday, August 15, 2022 A Regular Meeting of the City Council was held on this date in the Council Chambers at 13133 E. Arapahoe Road, Centennial, Colorado. Council Member Alston seconded the motion. Mayor Piko opened the Public Hearing, seeing no one wishing to speak, the Public Hearing was closed. Council Member Sheehan moved to amend Ordinance No. 2022-O-21 as follows: 1. To add to the end of the title of the Ordinance the phrase “and declaring an emergency” and 2. To delete section 13 of the Ordinance as presented and to add a new section 13 to provide that the Ordinance is declared an emergency to order to ensure the timely use of property as Live-Work Units and to best protect the value of properties subject to the Ordinance. The City Clerk, in cooperation with the City Attorney, is authorized to make the proposed amendments and to present the amended Ordinance to the Mayor for execution if the Ordinance is approved as amended. Council Member Sutherland seconded the motion. With Mayor Piko, Council Member Alston, Council Member Carnes, Council Member Holt, Council Member Maurer, Council Member Moon, Council Member Sheehan, Council Member Sutherland, Council Member Sweetland voting AYE, and (None) voting NAY; Absent: 0. THE MOTION Passed. Council Member Sheehan moved to Approve ORDINANCE NO. 2022 O-21, AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CENTENNIAL, COLORADO AMENDING CHAPTER 12 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE (LAND DEVELOPMENT CODE) CONCERNING LIVE-WORK UNITS and Declaring an Emergency. Council Member Holt seconded the motion.
