MINUTES OF THE CENTENNIAL CITY COUNCIL Special Meeting 6:10 PM Monday, February 22, 2010 A Special Meeting of the City Council was held on this date in the City Council Chambers at 13133 E. Arapahoe Road, Centennial, Colorado. A full and timely notice of this meeting had been posted and a quorum was present. 1. Call to Order Mayor Noon called the meeting to order; 6:10 PM 2. Roll Call Introductions City of Centennial Elected Officials: Mayor Noon, Council Member Phelps, Council Member Dindinger, Council Member Gardner, Council Member Bosier, Council Member McClellan, Council Member Anderson, Council Member Weidmann (Council Member Miller - excused) Arapahoe County Elected Officials: Chairman Bockenfeld, Commissioner Beckman, Commissioner Dyer, Commissioner Noonan, Commissioner Weddig Also present: Shannon Carter Arapahoe County Strategic Programs Director; Jacque Wedding- Scott, Centennial City Manager; Brenda Madison, Centennial City Clerk; Barbara Setterlind, Centennial Assistant Deputy City Clerk, Don Wright, Centennial Support Services Manager; Gloria Ochoa, Centennial, Web site Administrator; Sherry Patten, Centennial Community and Governmental Affairs Manager; Wayne Reed, Centennial Director of Planning and Development; Edward Stafford, Centennial City Engineer 3. SPECIAL JOINT MEETING WITH ARAPAHOE COUNTY BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS REGARDING OPEN SPACE; 6:15 PM Council Member Gardner gave a presentation regarding the Streets of SouthGlenn. Mayor Noon gave a brief presentation regarding the 2010 Census. Commissioner Noonan gave a brief update on Senior Services. Commissioner Dyer gave a brief update on Veterans’ Services, Centennial Airport, trails systems, jail improvements, mental health corps, and ACWWA project. Commissioner Beckman gave a brief update on Human Services and road project for Parker and Arapahoe Road intersection. Commissioner Bockenfeld gave a brief overview of Arapahoe County Services. A general variety of topics were discussed between the Council Members and County Commissioners. 4. Adjourn There being no further business to discuss, the Special Session was adjourned at 7:41 PM.
