VILLAGE OF CHAGRIN FALLS ARCHITECTURAL BOARD OF REVIEW NOVEMBER 21, 2023 Meeting Called to Order 8:30 A.M. Members Present: Bill Childs, George Clemens, Steve King, Wendy Naylor, Phil Koepf (Absent) Also Present: Dominic Cribari, Joan Andersen APPROVAL OF MINUTES Motion by Naylor, seconded by Childs to approve the minutes from the November 7, 2023, meeting. Roll Call: Childs-yea, Naylor-yea. Motion passed. 1. Miller 105 May Court Exterior Alteration-Final Andrew Collins (Contractor) and Judy and Jim Miller (Homeowners) presented these plans. Building and Zoning Inspector Dominic Cribari said that at the previous meeting he had said that this submission required a variance and after reviewing the plans found that it does not need one. Andrew said that they were previously going to reduce the size of the addition but since no variance is needed, they didn’t reduce the size. He said they moved it one foot to deal with the massing on the side elevation. Clemens recommended they remove the doghouse. Andrew said that they changed the windows in the addition to match the proportions of the existing windows. He said they also shrunk the porch and changed it to a simple covered area. Childs said to add an architrave on the rear porch. Summation-motion by Naylor, seconded by Childs for final approval of plans as presented with the removal of the doghouse on the side elevation and addition of an architrave on the back porch.
