The City of Chandler Parks and Recreation Board met for a special scheduled meeting on
Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at Chandler City Hall. Rick Ford, Park Board Chairman called the
meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.
Members Present:
Rick Ford
David Maronge
Ann Hall
Nancy Bertholf
Kim Fleming
Absent: Kari Bersano
Citizens Forum: Janeice Lunsford spoke to the board concerning volunteers for the
concession stand.
REGULAR SESSION:
Item 1: The Board discussed operations of the Chandler Sports Association and agreed
to not support any type of transition period from BMC to CSA.
Item 2: Ann Hall made a motion to recommend approval of the formation of a city
sponsored “Fit City Chandler”. David Maronge seconded the motion. Motion
carried unanimously.
Item 3: Ann Hall made a motion to appoint four new members to the Parks & Recreation
board with one representing softball, one representing soccer, and two
representing baseball. The motion included the appointment of Paul Drake to
represent soccer and Jennifer Hawkins to represent softball. The remaining two
board members to be appointed at a later date. Kim Fleming seconded the
motion. Motion carried unanimously.
Meeting was adjourned at 6:45p.m.

C. ROLL CALL AND ANNOUNCE IF QUORUM IS PRESENT
D. AGENDA CHANGES
E. VISITORS/CITIZENS FORUM: The Public may comment on any matter or concern
regarding the Parks and Recreation Board. Limited to the first five to sign up, each will be
allowed 3 minutes. No formal action or discussion will be taken at this time.
F. REGULAR SESSION: Subjects to be discussed or upon which any formal action may be
taken are as follows:
1. Inform and discuss creation and duties of Chandler Sports Association and possible
transition from BMC to CSA.
2. Discuss and act on formation of “Fit City Chandler to City Council for approval of
implementation.
3. Consider and act on adding two new Park Board members.

bulletin board, at the City Hall of the City of Chandler, Texas a place convenient and readily
accessible to the general public at all times, and said notice was posted on the following date and

November 12, 2015, at 3:35pm and remained so posted at least 2 hours before said meeting was
convened.
