The motion carried by a unanimous vote. Announcements Approval of Minutes New Business Page 1 of 3 Community Design Commission Meeting Minutes September 13, 2021 1. University Place [21-0684] Design Standards Review The CDC along with the Town's Urban Designer will be discussing their thoughts on the review criteria for the proposed Design Standards at University Place. The CDC has proposed the following buckets for review based on original discussions at the regular August meeting, dated Tuesday 24, 2021: 1. Block Size & Building Footprint 2. Street Character 3. Pedestrian Connectivity 4. Greenspace & Gathering places 5. Architecture and Massing The CDC should be prepared to discuss these review buckets, coordinate a review schedule with the applicant, ask any clarifying questions of the applicant and provide feedback/input to the applicant to prepare for their next meeting with the CDC. These standards will not any require official action by the CDC at this or any future meeting. The approved stipulation as noted in the Special Use Permit modification requires the developer to receive input from the CDC, and work with the Town's Urban Designer and other Staff to review and evaluate the design standards subject to approval by the Town Manager. No action was required on behalf of the commission. Additional conversations expected at later meetings. Adjournment Next Meeting - Tuesday, September 28 A motion was made by Lyons, seconded by Levitan, that the meeting be adjourned at 5PM. The motion carried by a unanimous vote. The Body asks the public to conduct themselves in a respectful, courteous manner, both with the Body and with fellow members of the public. Should any member of the Body or any member of the public fail to observe this charge at any time, the Chair will ask the offending person to leave the meeting until that individual regains personal control. Should decorum fail to be restored, the Chair will recess the meeting until a genuine commitment to this public charge is observed.
