Announcements 1. Updates from Advisory Board Champions [20-0118] This time provides an opportunity for Advisory Board Champions to relay updates from their latest meetings, as needed. No updates were provided. Page 1 of 4 Planning Commission Action Minutes October 6, 2020 Petitions Approval of Minutes 2. Planning Commission Action Minutes for September 14, 2020 [20-0655] A motion was made by McCullough, seconded by Everhart, that the Minutes be approved. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: 8 - Chair John Rees, Vice-Chair Louie Rivers, James Baxter, Neal Bench, Michael Everhart, Melissa McCullough, Whit Rummel, and Elizabeth Webber 3. Planning Commission Action Minutes for September 15, 2020 [20-0656] A motion was made by McCullough, seconded by Everhart, that the Minutes be approved. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: 8 - Chair John Rees, Vice-Chair Louie Rivers, James Baxter, Neal Bench, Michael Everhart, Melissa McCullough, Whit Rummel, and Elizabeth Webber Old Business 4. Consider an Application for a Special Use Permit Modification [20-0599] for 1200 MLK, 1200 & 1204 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. A motion was made by McCullough, seconded by Everhart, that the Special Use Permit modification be recommended for denial (Resolution B). The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: 5 - James Baxter, Neal Bench, Michael Everhart, Melissa McCullough, and Whit Rummel Nay: 3 - Chair John Rees, Vice-Chair Louie Rivers, and Elizabeth Webber 5. Consider an Application for a Zoning Atlas Amendment for 1200 [20-0600] MLK, 1200 and 1204 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. A motion was made by McCullough, seconded by Everhart, that the project be found inconsistent with the Comprehensive Plan. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: 8 - Chair John Rees, Vice-Chair Louie Rivers, James Baxter, Neal Bench, Michael Everhart, Melissa McCullough, Whit Rummel, and Elizabeth Webber A motion was made by Everhart, seconded by McCullough, that the Zoning Page 2 of 4 Planning Commission Action Minutes October 6, 2020 Atlas Amendment be recommended for denial (Resolution B). The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: 7 - Vice-Chair Louie Rivers, James Baxter, Neal Bench, Michael Everhart, Melissa McCullough, Whit Rummel, and Elizabeth Webber Nay: 1 - Chair John Rees New Business 6. Mobility and Connectivity Plan Update [20-0657] Town Staff provided an update on the Mobility and Connectivity Plan, and received feedback from the Planning Commission. Adjournment Next Meeting - October 20, 2020 Prior to adjournment, Bench nominated Everhart for the position of Chair. Additional nominations may be made at the following meeting. Chair Rees also recognized outgoing member Rummel for his service on the Planning Commission. McCullough made a motion to adjourn; adjourned. Should any member of the Body or any member of the public fail to observe this charge at any time, the Chair will ask the offending person to leave the meeting until that individual regains personal control. Should decorum fail to be restored, the Chair will recess the meeting until a genuine commitment to this public charge is observed.
