PRESENTATIONS / IN ATTENDANCE RVE Engineering – MS4 update, 2021/22 Paving Project, and other engineering matters before Council PUBLIC COMMENT PUBLIC PARTICIPATION: Individuals or group representatives who have signed in prior to the meeting, will have THREE (3) MINUTES of microphone time to address Council during the public participation portion of the meeting. We prefer if there is a group, a representative be chosen to speak. Audience comments will not be permitted following the public participation portion of the meeting; therefore, we ask that you please review the agenda for any item(s) you may wish to discuss. We have, in the past, had individual’s direct comments to Mayor and Council that were not correct or could not be documented. For that reason, we ask that your information be to the point and factual. Although we may not be able to answer your question at this meeting, we will refer your request or recommendation to the proper department for any necessary action. CLOSED TO PUBLIC PARTICIPATION / Council Discussion and Vote 1. MOTION to authorize RVE Engineering to proceed with correcting MS4 compliance from 2015 to date, at a cost of $19,680.00 as presented by the Borough Engineer. CHARGE: 01/413.40 (Engineering) 2. MOTION to appoint to the Rostraver / West Newton EMS Board of Representatives on behalf of the interests of Charleroi as originally agreed upon with the Rostraver/West Newton EMS organization upon appointment as the Borough of Charleroi’s EMS provider. 3. MOTION to authorize the Borough Manager and/or Solicitor to represent the Borough of Charleroi at the August 23, 2022, hearing for tax appeal filed by Ms. Nancy Basile at 732 Fourth Street, Charleroi. (council technically doesn’t need to authorize the administration in doing do. However, wanted additional council support and documentation in these proceedings to recoup money for Charleroi) 4. MOTION to authorize the Borough Manager and/or Solicitor to represent the Borough of Charleroi at the Washington County Tax Claim Bureau hearings on August 29 th, 2022. (council technically doesn’t need to authorize the administration in doing do.
