Chairperson Ryan Vaughn called the Zoning Board of Appeals meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. 1. Roll Call Present: Ryan Vaughn, Todd Johnson, Anthony Toliver, Steve Schroll and Chuck Herr. Chuck Herr arrived at 6:05 p.m. Absent: Josh Kruze and Brian Stenke Others Present: Casey Erickson – Chatham Code Enforcement Officer, Dan Holden – Chatham Village Clerk 2. Approve Minutes 2.01 Approve Minutes from Zoning Board meeting on August 15, 2024 A motion was made by Todd Johnson to approve of the August 15, 2024 meeting minutes. This motion was seconded by Anthony Tolliver. By an affirmative voice vote of the members present, the motion passed. 3. New Business 3.01 The Zoning Board of Appeals will consider a Petition by Nathan and Takouhie Jensen for the property at 815 West Walnut in the Villag of Chatham. They would like to Re-Zone the property from R- 1 to P-1. Chairperson Vaughn introduced Nathan and Takouhie Jensen and asked for comments. The Jensen’s would like to be able to create a non-profit that assists with gardening techniques. The property would be a Garden Refuge. A motion was made by Steve Schroll to approve the request for the change in zoning. This motion was seconded by Anthony Tolliver. By a 4-0-1-2 vote of the committee members, the motion passed. The vote was as follows: Chuck Herr – yes; Steve Schroll – yes; Anthony Tolliver – yes; Brian Stenke – absent; Josh Kruze – absent; Ryan Vaughn – abstain; Todd Johnson – yes. 4. Closing 4.01 Adjournment A motion was made by Todd Johnson to adjourn the Regular Meeting of the Zoning Board of Appeals. This motion was seconded by Anthony Tolliver.
