Cheraw Town Council Briefing Minutes Tuesday, June 23, 2026 at 5:30 pm 1. Call to Order Minutes: Members Present: Mayor David Byrd, Amy Gavin, Jerry Tucker, Jim Crawford, Tom Boan. Others Present: Brian Rogers, Patti Norris, Madison Vick, Andrew Mcleod, Bennie Miles and Lisa Kiser. Meeting called to order at 5:30pm. 2. Approval of Minutes of the May 26th Town of Cheraw Briefing Minutes. Minutes: Councilman Crawford made a motion to approve the minutes. Councilman Boan seconded the motion and the motion passed unanimously. 3. Monthly Update from Town Manager a. SRF all Principal Forgiveness for PFAS Pilot Study Minutes: Brian states that we will be reimbursed $82,000 for the principal PFAS Pilot Study. b. South Carolina Diamond Youth Baseball Tournament Updates Minutes: Lisa Kiser from recreation came forward to give an update on the tournament. The Opening Ceremony will be held at 6pm Friday night at the high school. The tournament will begin Saturday morning at 10am at Arrowhead Park. She thanked everyone for their hard work and dedication and looks forward to this being a successful event. A special thank you was given to Tom, Lisa and Madison for all the extra effort that they have put into this event. 4. Executive Session a. Request to Enter into Executive Session to Discuss Personnel Matters. Minutes: Councilman Boan made a motion to enter into executive session. Councilman Crawford seconded the motion and the motion passed unanimously. Entered into executive session at 5:45pm. Councilwoman Gavin made a motion to exit  executive session. Councilman Boan seconded the motion and the motion passed unanimously. Exited executive session at 6:46pm. 5. Adjourn Minutes: Councilwoman Melton made a motion to adjourn the meeting.
