Wahl, Mayor, called the hearing to order at 8: 45 p.m. In attendance were Kathleen Berault, Laura Blackwelder, Jonathan Evans, Anthony Greene, Eric Reinhardt, and Jamey Shuls, Council Members, Dr. Samelia Okpodu, Town Administrator, Sharon L. Humm, Town Clerk, Elissa Levan, Town Attorney, James Berry, Public Works Manager, Josh Stinnett, Water Reclamation Treatment Plant Manager, Wayne Newton, Town Engineer, and Lieutenant Hollinger. Absent was Brittany Moran, Town Treasurer. The Mayor opened the public hearing and read into the record Charter Amendment Resolution CAR- 25- 01. Charter Amendment Resolution CAR- 25- 01, a resolution of the Town Council of Chesapeake Beach, Maryland amending Section C 723, "Purchasing and Contract", of the Charter of the Town of Chesapeake Beach to increase the authority of the Mayor to expend monies without the approval of Council from $10,000 to $25,000 and to increase the amount of an expenditure that requires notification to the Council from $5,000 to $10,000. The Mayor called for public comment. Public comment was received by: 1. Councilman Reinhardt commented, at the appropriate time, he would be introducing an amendment to this resolution to keep the amount of the expenditure that requires notification to the Council at $5,000. 2. Dan Duvall, 3610 Chesapeake Beach Road, submitted written comments that were distributed to the Town Council. 3. Olga Peterfalvy, 7625 B Street, submitted written comments that were distributed to the Town Council. There being no further comments, the Mayor closed the public hearing at 8: 47 pm.
