Meeting Minutes Historic and Architectural Review Board (HARB) October 3, 2024 Chesapeake City Hall, Planning Department ROLL CALL HARB Members Present: Chair Joe Maguire, Vice Chair Marilee Peterson, David Walksi, and Scott Grinels Staff: Adam Lantz, City Attorney – City Attorney’s Office; Carlos Rodriguez, Code Enforcement Officer – Developments and Permits; Anna Nagorniuk, Senior Planner – Planning Department; Nat McCormick, Community Design Manager – Planning Department; Kevin Finn – Comprehensive Planning Administrator Chair J. Maguire called the meeting to order at 5:33 p.m. MINUTES Approval of September 12, 2024 regular meeting minutes moved to November meeting. COMMITTEE REPORTS None ADMINISTRATIVE APPROVALS K. Finn reported five (5) administrative approvals. ZONING REPORT None Motion to move Old and New Business to after Public Input, made by J. Maguire and seconded by M. Peterson, with all members present voting for (4-0). CONSENT AGENDA None REGULAR AGENDA 1417 Seaboard Ave (PLN-CAPP-2024-111) Original Request  After-the-fact replacement of a wooden, half-lite door with steel door with semi-circle lites, to be painted Van Deusen Blue, HC-156  Motion to continue to allow the applicant to look into Land Bank and provide quantifying information on direct replacement made by J. Maguire and seconded by M. Peterson, with all members present voting for (4-0). PUBLIC INPUT None OLD AND NEW BUSINESS N. McCormick provided the Board with an update to the Design Guideline update process and informed the Board of the approval timeline. Board discussed and plans to review the most recent Design Guidelines draft and provide comments. LEGAL GUIDANCE None 1 ADJOURNMENT Motion to adjourn the meeting made by J.
