REGULAR AGENDA
A. CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS
• Crisis Receiving Center – 216 Great Bridge Boulevard
Furniture is scheduled to be delivered this month. We are in the final stages of in-
stalling security equipment. We continue to recruit to fill the positions. Opening
date is to be determined.
• Care Coordination Headquarters – 840 Greenbrier Circle
The majority of the Care Coordination programs have moved, and staff are getting
settled in their new office. Demolition of the first floor has begun to create the fu-
ture home of the Psychosocial Rehabilitation Program.
• Main Building – 224 Great Bridge Boulevard
Discussions are ongoing regarding refreshing / updating areas of the building. On
the list are replacing the flooring, painting, and renovation the break rooms.
B. Appointment of Deputy Director
Ed Gonzalez announced the promotion of Dr. Shawn Barnwell to CIBH Deputy Director.
C. VACSB UPDATE
The Virgina Association of Community Services Boards is opposed to House Bill 608 which
would allow private hospitals to conduct prescreening evaluations. This would be piloted by
Riverside Hospital. The role of Community Services Boards has not been defined, and there
is concern hospitals will cherry pick the patients they want to admit. This bill has been ta-
bled, but Senate Bill 34 takes up the same matter.
FINANCIAL REPORT
Paul Marone reviewed the financial report which contains data through December 31, 2023.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 5:26 p.m.
