COUNCIL OF CHEVY CHASE VIEW Closed Session Date: September 25, 2023 Place: Town Council Meeting Office at 10401 Connecticut Avenue, Suite 120 Present: Ed Tarbutton, Chair; Paula Fudge; Tommy George; Peter Marks; Nancy Somerville Called to Order by Ed Tarbutton at 7 p.m. Closed Session. At 7:01 p.m., in open session, Paula Fudge made a motion to enter closed session, pursuant to Maryland Code, General Provisions Article § 3-305(b)(1) to discuss the appointment, employment, assignment, promotion, discipline, demotion, compensation, removal, resignation, or performance evaluation of appointees, employees, or officials over whom this public body has jurisdiction; any other personal matter that affects one or more specific individuals. Tommy George seconded the motion, and it passed by a vote of 5-0. The Council discussed the posting of position for the Assistant Town Manager and the transition priorities for the Town Manager. No action was taken. At 8:02 p.m., Paula Fudge made a motion to adjourn. Tommy George seconded the motion, and it passed by a vote of 5-0.
