Present: Jacqueline DuBois, Alfred Kendall, Edward Rybak and Janina Surdyka Members of the Board reviewed the count of registered voters eligible to vote in the November 8, 2016 State Election: Democrats 13,172 Republicans 4,070 United Independent Party 328 Green Rainbow 71 Unenrolled 19,322 Political Designations 147 In accordance with MGL Ch. 54, Sec. 95 and 99 and sec. 103 of the Federal Uniformed and Overseas Citizens Absentee Voting Act 42, USC Sec. 1973 ff-2 the ballots with envelopes signed and postmarked on or before November 8 were examined. a. One military ballot was determined valid and counted. b. 2 provisional ballots cast on Election Day were also determined to be valid as voters names were listed on active list of voters. c. 9 provisional ballots were rejected – residents did not register to vote at RMV as initially reported. d. 3 provisional ballots were rejected since voters failed to fill out Provisional Ballot Affirmation and 1 provisional ballot was rejected since voter cast his ballot in wrong precinct. Tally sheets were adjusted to reflect new totals. Clerk informed members of the Board that the Department certified 845 applications for the November, 2016 State Election and rejected 7 as received too late or voters moved to another community. Information regarding voters’ history of 24,510 residents who cast their ballots on Election Day was updated (required by MGL Ch. 51, Sec. 37A).
