Du Bois, Alfred W. Kendall, Edward A. Rybak, Janina Surdyka Minutes of the November 16, 2017 meeting were reviewed, approved as presented by the Clerk, and placed on file. Correspondence: - Election Division – Initiative Petition Received too late - Boston Passport Agency – Deadline for 2018 Annual Certification of Passport Acceptance Program Motion was made, seconded, and carried to place correspondence on file and to complete training and certification for all employee in the Department. Registration statistics (including address and party affiliation changes) for the month of November are as follows: Registered in the office 18 Received from the RMV 316 Registered by mail 31 Registered at public-assistance agencies 40 Registered online 6 Received from other City/Town Halls 4 Deleted from voter registration roll (registered in other 185 community, died or in response to confirmation notice) Since July 1, 2017 the Department collected $7,259.65 from passport applications and spent $1,409.05 for cross-cut shredder, photo ink and paper, priority postage, 2 reams of business paper, staples, metric ruler, calendars and recyclable bags for shredder. The present balance of this account is $144,258.94. Motion was made, seconded, and unanimously approved to accept the Clerk’s report and to refer Initiative Petitions to New Business. Old Business: Clerk of the Board informed members that the transfer of $11,000.00 from the Passport Revolving Fund to Special Services was approved on November 21. New Business: the following action was taken by the Board: Motion was made by Ms. Surdyka, seconded by Mr. Kendall and unanimously approved to appoint Mr. Robb Strycharz, long time Census Taker for the City and U.S. Census Bureau, for canvassing parts of Willimansett and Downtown area. Motion was made by Ms. DuBois, seconded by Mr. Rybak and carried without opposition to seek two volunteers from the Senior Tax Work off Program for opening and sorting census replies.
