Ward 8 Councilor Present Pniak-Costello, Mary Elizabeth Ward 9 Councilor Present --Motion made by Councilor Roy to nominate Councilor Laflamme for president. --Motion made by Councilor Wagner to close nominations. Motion passed by a unanimous roll call vote. --Motion to elect Councilor Laflamme president passed by a roll call vote of 12 yes, 1 abstained. Councilor Laflamme abstained. --Motion made by Councilor Courchesne to nominate Councilor Zygarowski vice-president. --Motion made by Councilor Labrie to close nominations. Motion passed by a roll call vote of 12 yes, 1 abstained. Councilor Zygarowski abstained. --Motion to elect Councilor Zygarowski vice-president passed by a roll call vote of 12 yes, 1 abstained. Councilor Zygarowski abstained. Councilor Laflamme thanked everyone on the city council, without help would not have gotten where I was. Thank all the new councilors, recommend each of you reach out to department heads without immediately filing orders. Thank the office staff. We have two administrative assistants, give them things to work on but also give them time. Zoning and Ordinance stuff has to be done. Took initiative to set committees, there is a meeting tomorrow. Committees are completed, seating is completed. Will get whatever you need. Like to meet with the new councilors in the office. Any questions just call. First meeting is tomorrow, briefing at 6:30, meeting at 7:15. Councilor Zygarowski stated thank you all for electing as the vice-president. First time was under Keith, we work as a team here. Be a good listener. Been here 20 years, still asks questions. Never promise anything you can not do. Can come back to haunt you.
