City of Chicopee City Council Human Resources Committee Approved 2-19-2019 Members James Tillotson Gary Labrie Jerry Roy Stan Walczak William Courchesne MINUTES March 27, 2018 The following are the minutes of a public hearing held Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at 6:00 PM in the City Council Chambers, Fourth Floor, City Hall Annex, 274 Front Street, Chicopee, MA 01013. Members Present Tillotson, Labrie (arrived 6:10), Roy Members Absent Walczak, Courchesne Also Present Dan Garvey (Associate City Solicitor), Councilor Laflamme The meeting was called to order at 6:00 PM In compliance with the Open Meeting Law the Chairman asked if anyone in the audience was recording the meeting. Hearing none the meeting continued. Item 2 taken out of order ITEM #1 Mayoral appointment of Matthew Bieda, 26 Moore Street, as an Associate Member of the Zoning Board of Appeals to serve in such office for the term expiring on the 1st of April, 2019. Mr. Bieda stated that he would like to serve on the Board because he believes that his degree in Building Construction Technology is related to the types of applications that are heard before the Zoning Board of Appeals. Minority report Committee vote 2 – 0 favorable. ITEM #2 Mayoral appointment of Brittany Antuna, 67 Pervier Avenue, as an Associate Member of the Commission on Disability to serve in such office for the term expiring on the 1st of February, 2021. 1 Ms. Antuna stated that she is interested in serving on the Commission because she feels that her experience as an RN could be of assistance to the commission and she has a child with a disability. Motion made by Councilor Roy and second by Councilor Tillotson to approve. Committee vote 3 – 0 favorable. ITEM #3 Minutes – December 12, 2017 Motion made by Councilor Roy and second by Councilor Labrie to approve. Meeting adjourned at 6:14 PM. 2
