City of Chicopee City Council Human Resources Committee Approved 12-14-2021 Members James Tillotson Gary Labrie Jerry Roy Stan Walczak William Courchesne MINUTES September 14, 2021 The following are the minutes of a public hearing held Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at 6:15 PM in the City Council Chambers, Fourth Floor, City Hall Annex, 274 Front Street, Chicopee, MA 01013. Members Present Tillotson, Labrie, Roy, Courchesne Not Present Walczak Also Present Dan Garvey (Associate City Solicitor), Councilor Zygarowski, Councilor Krampits, Councilor Laflamme, Councilor Dobosz, Councilor McAuliffe, Councilor Krampits, John Beaulieu (Assistant DPW Superintendent) The meeting was called to order at 6:15 PM In compliance with the Open Meeting Law the Chairman asked if anyone in the audience was recording the meeting. Hearing none the meeting continued. ITEM #1 Mayoral appointment of Julia Sudol as an associate member of the Zoning Board of Appeals to serve in such office for the term expiring on the 1st of April, 2026. Julia Sudol was present on zoom she stated that she has an undergrad for political science. Councilor Krampits asked what interested you in this position. Julia Sudol stated she had wanted to give back to the community of Chicopee she had grown up in. She stated that no matter what area or committee, it’s important that the quality of our neighborhoods and streets are in tip top shape. Councilor Roy motion to approve – Councilor Tillotson 2nd the motion – motion passed Committee vote 4 – 0 favorable ITEM #2 Councilor Roy motion to approve – the minutes of February 19, 2019 - Councilor Tillotson 2nd the motion – motion passed. Meeting adjourned at 6:26 PM. 1
