City of Chicopee City Council Human Resources Committee APPROVED 7-19-2022 Members James Tillotson Gary Labrie Jerry Roy Pniak-Costello Krampits MINUTES June 14, 2022 The following are the minutes of a public hearing held Tuesday, June 14, 2022 6:45 PM in the City Council Chambers, Fourth Floor, City Hall Annex, 274 Front Street, Chicopee, MA 01013. Members Present Tillotson, Labrie, Pniak-Costello, Krampits Absent Roy Also Present Dan Garvey (Associate City Solicitor) Councilor Laflamme, Councilor Zygarowski The meeting was called to order at 6:45 PM In compliance with the Open Meeting Law the Chairman asked if anyone in the audience was recording the meeting. Hearing none the meeting continued. ITEM #1 Mayoral appointment of Jan F. Wegrzynek as a member of the Ambulance Commission to serve until the first of January 2025. Mr. Wegrzynek was not able to attend tonight’s meeting. Motion made by Councilor Krampits and second by Councilor Tillotson to postpone to the call of the chair. Committee vote 3 – 0 favorable. (Pniak-Costello did not sign committee report) ITEM #2 Mayoral appointment of Amy L. Partelow as a member of the Commission on Disability to serve as a member for the term of 3 years expiring on the first of June 2025. Amy stated that she has over 13 years of experience with the Mass Rehab Commission working with people with disabilities and moving forward into employment or into an employment future. She has been wanting to volunteer for something and when she found that the Commission on Disability was looking for members she thought it would fit into her background. 1 Motion made by Councilor Pniak-Costello and second by Councilor Krampits to approve. Committee vote 3 – 0 favorable. (Pniak-Costello did not sign committee report) Meeting adjourned at 6:53 PM. 2
