Zygarowski Frank Laflamme Timothy McLellan MINUTES August 28, 2013 The following are the minutes of a public hearing held Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at 6:45 PM in the City Council Chambers, Fourth Floor, City Hall Annex, 274 Front Street, Chicopee, MA 01013. Members Present: Tillotson, Laflamme, Demers, Zygarowski, McLellan Also Present: Councilor Roy The meeting was called to order at 6:45 PM. ITEM #1 Parking Regulations Baptist Avenue Both sides – entire length Parking Prohibited Committee vote 5 – 0 favorable. ITEM #2 Parking Regulations Blanan Drive South side for a distance of 30 feet from the intersection of Burnett Road AMEND THE DISTANCE FROM 30 FEET TO 45 FEET Parking Prohibited Here to Corner Committee vote 5- 0 favorable. 1 ITEM #3 Parking Regulations Blanan Drive For a distance of 150 feet from the intersection of Blanan Drive and Burnett Road Parking Prohibited on South Side Committee vote 5 – 0 favorable. ITEM #4 Parking Regulations Fifth Avenue West side 50 feet in front of 66 5th Avenue Parking Prohibited Between Arrows The resident living across 66 5th Avenue has a difficult time pulling out of the driveway because the street is narrow and when cars park on the street directly across her driveway she has to knock on their door and ask them to move the vehicle. Councilor Roy asked that the committee amend this ordinance to read as follows: Fifth Avenue West side in front of 66 5th Avenue going north from driveway 25 feet Parking Prohibited Committee vote 5 – 0 favorable. ITEM #5 Minutes – June 11, 2013 – Motion made to approve. Motion passed. Meeting adjourned at 6:58 PM. 2
