Zygarowski MINUTES June 26, 2019 The following are the minutes of a public hearing held Wednesday June 26, 2019 at 6:15 PM at the RiverMills Senior Center, 5 West Main Street, Small Garden Room, 14A, Chicopee, MA 01013. Members Present Labrie, Courchesne, Zygarowski Members Absent McAuliffe, Brooks Also Present Elizabette Botelho (DPW Superintendent), Chris Chaban (Assistant City Engineer), Jocelyn Forcier (Columbia Gas) The meeting was called to order at 6:15 PM In compliance with the Open Meeting Law the Chairman asked if anyone in the audience was recording the meeting. Seeing none the meeting continued. ITEM #1 Petition from Columbia Gas of Massachusetts, to be granted a location and permission to install and maintain 215’ of 2” MP plastic gas main on Homer Avenue from Hamburg Street to 33 Homer Avenue with such laterals and service connections as it may now or subsequently find necessary. Jocelyn Forcier stated that 33 Homer Street contacted us for a gas hookup. She stated that we are basically extending a two inch gas main two hundred and fifteen feet to catch that address. She stated it will follow about twelve feet off the property line so you are about three feet in the road. She stated keeping in line what’s already there, a straight line. Chris Chaban stated that this road is no longer on the moratorium for pavement it was paved in the CSO Project in 2009. He stated that the only condition we would have is to apply for the street occupancy license and there will be conditions on there about the trench repair. Councilor Zygarowski motion to accept the petition from Columbia Gas and pass tonight – Councilor Courchesne 2nd the motion – motion passed 1 Committee vote 3 – 0 favorable ITEM #2 Councilor Courchesne motion to approve the Minutes of May 14, 2019 – Councilor Zygarowski 2nd the motion - motion passed. Councilor Zygarowski motion to adjourn the meeting at 6:20 PM - Councilor Courchesne 2nd the motion - motion passed . 2
