l. Call to Order
The meeting was called to order at 4:45. There was no request to record the
meeting.
2. Public Input
There was no public input.
3. Business Reports
l. Minutes of June 11,2019
Minutes were reviewed and accepted without change.
ll. Fiscal Reports were approved and accepted
June fiscal report, end of year report reflects finances were right on track.
July report shows an increase use of electricity due to City Hall meetings being
held at the center. Sherry has been told by the mayor and city council
members that money for the increase will be available at the end of the year
if needed.
August report, the transportation coordinator is on medical leave. Using the
substitute coordinator will cause a shortage that will be covered using the
transportation account.
lll. Executive Director’s Report was approved and accepted.
The HVAC system continues to not work correctly.
The Out Reach Worker has started work and has been attending trainings.
Cabinets have been installed in the classroom and ceramics classes have
started.
Sherry has been working with Community Development. They will be installing
outdoor exercise equipment by the walking trail. Bathrooms and a large
gargage will be installed.
Cameras for outside are purchased, but have not been installed.
Planting by the patio is not finished.
Sherry has a list of projects and repairs that need to be done.
Events at the center have been selling out quickly. Tickets for future events will
be available only to Chicopee residents for two weeks before opening up ticket
purchases to residents of other towns.
For every senior filling out the 2020 census the COA will receive $12.00 in the
formula grant. Help filling out the census will be available at the center by
appointment.

The last meeting was in June. The next meeting will be September 13th.
V. Friends Meeting Minutes
The last meeting was in June. The next meeting will be September 13th.
Vl. Café Report
The café continues to do well. Sherry is hoping to hire a café manager once the
formula grant amount has been released. This person will do the shopping.
Sherry’s petty cash amount has been increased, which makes shopping easier.
4. Transportation
$30,000.00 is in the budget for an electric or plug in hybrid car. Sherry has
suggested that a couple of seniors go with her to see how easy the car is to get
in and out of.
5. Formula Grant
The grant has been completed and will be submitted when next year’s amount
has been released.
6. Authorized Payroll Signature/ Check Pickup Form
The motion was made and approved by the council that Sherry Manyak’s
name be added as an alternative signature to sign for payroll.
7. New Business
There was no new business.
The meeting was adjourned at 5:45.
The next meeting will be Tuesday, October 8, 2019
