They’ll be back next year. Suggestion Box review: None Acceptance of August 14, 2018 Minutes Commissioner Wolowicz made a motion to accept minutes. Vice Chairman LaPlante second, approved. 1 Superintendent report: The Golf Course conditions continue to improve with the improvement of the weather. 2.5” of rain on Monday, 9/10/18 has not helped matters though. Director Report: Thanks go out to the Polish National Credit Union for donating the Score Cards. It’s the time of the year to try to keep the number of rounds up. Director O’Neill will begin advertising discount rates in the ValPack. Mike will also begin reducing hours for the course rangers. There are 4 more outings scheduled in September of this year than last year. Concession Report: As rounds of play are reduced later in the year, Concessions will be picking their spots where the Concession cart will be run. The A/C drain hose was plugged and had to be unclogged. Due to an incident occurring recently, Doug asked if there were any City regulations concerning vaping inside the building. Director O’Neill will review with City Officials. New Business: 1. August and 2018 YTD Revenue Review: August, 2018 is slightly down from this time last year, due to the fact there were 11 days of rain. Director O’Neill will begin tracking unusual days of weather. YTD sales are even with this time last year. 2. Review modified RFP for Concessions: An entry will be added for the weekly emptying of the trash dumpster. All else looks good and ready for publication. Vote to occur at next meeting. 3. Police Report – car damage: A golf patron reported that his vehicle was scratched (keyed) while he was playing golf. A police report was filled out on the incident. 4. Tree Limb trimming along cart paths along 13th green & 15th tee: The cart path between the 11th green and the 12th tee was also added. Superintendent Bach will review all locations and trim as necessary. 5. Early Annual Pass Sales Promotion: Director O’Neill will put into effect immediately. 2  6. Stump grinding on 4th hole: Superintendent Bach will attend to it soon. 7. Fence repairs to 4th hole: The commissioners will discuss whether there is truly a need for the fence running alongside the fairway. The portion of the fence running behind the must remain. Old Business: 1. Development of tree replacement policy by Director: Mike will review with Lee Pouliot of the Forestry Dept. 2. Additional Employee only parking signs install (check Dig safe permit): Signs have been installed. Close Item 3. Painting of Club House/Cart Barn update: Glenn Sexton of the Sheriff’s Dept. will bring samples of siding for Director O’Neill to review. They may begin within the next few weeks. 4. 7th tee area steps update: Steps and railing are installed. Close Item 5. RFP course maintenance 5-year contract: City Council to review and approve the change from 3 to 5 years. 6. SOP for reporting accidents in the club house or on the course: Accidents should be reported and on file at the golf course. 7. Quotes for Mini Split A/C System for Restaurant area: The current quote from Central seems high. Director O’Neill will request more quotes.
