Chicopee Historical Commission Voting Record and Minutes The Planning Board of the City of Chicopee public hearing for Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at 3:30 PM, City Council Chambers, 4th Floor, City Hall Annex, 274 Front Street, Chicopee, MA 01013 Meeting was brought to order at 3:30 PM by Joshua Clark Historical Commission attendance: Member Present Absent Excused Joshua Clark, Chair X Sandra Ross X Vice Chair Linda Menard-Mruk X Clerk James Tanhauser, Jr. X Joseph Pasternak, Jr. X Planning Staff attendance: Member Present Absent Excused Lee Pouliot, Director James Dawson, Development Manager Jack Benjamin, X Asst. ITEM 1: Discussion Old/New Business  Presentation of the history of the Chicopee Country Club by James Low  The Chicopee Fire Department Deputy David Beauregard, will present the history of the fire department at our September meeting  Jack Benjamin reported on Jim Dawson’s research about a quorum at Commission meetings. A quorum will be the majority of members present at the meeting in order to accept minutes  Jack also discussed the District Commission, what that would involve, how that enforcement mechanism would function. One requirement is a registered architect who is a Chicopee resident must be on the commission. A district commission would add a layer of regulations to historic buildings. The Legislature would need to close our existing commission in order to open a District Commission ITEM 2: Minutes from meetings held on April 11, 2017 and May 9, 2017 Motion accept made by Linda and seconded by Joe.
