Chicopee Historical Commission Voting Record and Minutes The Planning Board of the City of Chicopee public hearing for Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at 4:00 PM, RiverMills Senior Center, Classroom 30, 5 West Main St., Chicopee, MA 01013 Meeting was brought to order at 4:00 by Joshua Clark, Chair of the Historical Commission. Historical Commission attendance: Member Present Absent Excused Joshua Clark, Chair X Sandra Ross X Vice Chair Linda Menard-Mruk X Clerk Joseph Pasternak, Jr. X Raymond Hoess-Brooks X Planning Staff attendance: Member Present Absent Excused Lee Pouliot, X Director James Dawson, Development Manager X Patrick McKenna, Asst. X ITEM 1: Presentation: Lee Pouliot, Planning Director, on the status of the City Hall Restoration and Renovation Project. Lee Pouliot, Director of the Chicopee Planning Department, presented a brief update on the status of the City Hall Project. Mr. Pouliot noted that the stained glass windows on the south side of the building were removed for restoration and the north side windows would be removed soon. The Auditorium demolition was progressing on schedule. Work on the HVAC system was progressing with the installation of new valves and wiring for new thermostats. Lead paint was being removed from some ceiling tiles and work was continuing on the exterior of the building. The elevator is officially shut down and not expected to be operational again until late September or early October 2019. ITEM 2: Discussion Old/New Business There was a brief discussion regarding the recreation of the Historic District Commissions – Joshua Clark was leading the initiative on this. ITEM 3: Minutes from March 12, 2019 Motion to accept the minutes of the March 12, 2019 meeting was made by Sandra Ross and seconded by Raymond Hoess-Brooks.
