Item 1: (Discussion Tabled from May 13, 2025) Ray Hoess-Brooks - Springfield Street Historic District - At the April 8, 2025
meeting Raymond Hoess-Brooks discussed the identifying the section of Springfield Street within the Springfield Street historic

inform the residents that they reside in the district and what is involved if they want to perform work on their building.
• Commissioners Ronald Chimelis and Joseph Stadnicki will each write a generic letter to inform residents that
they reside in an historic district. At the September 9, 2025 meeting the Commission will review both letters, take
the best information from each and write the final letter to be sent.
• Chair Raymond Hoess-Brooks assigned each Commission Member an historic house from the Springfield Street
Historic District. The history of the houses will be researched by the respective Commissioners and presented to
the Commission at the September 9, 2025 meeting.

for three walking tours of the Springfield Street Historic District. The tours would be held on July 11, 18, and 25, 2025. They would
begin at 7:15 PM, last about 45 minutes and include 4-5 homes. The Historical Commission Members supported Mr. Wood’s
proposal.
• Wren Wood provided the Commissioners with flyers for the historic walking tours. The flyers will be used to
publicize the walks and provide a narrative for the first walk to be held on July 11, 2025.
