MINUTES CHICOPEE MOBILEHOME RENT CONTROL BOARD JANUARY 7, 2013 @ 6:00 P.M. MEMBERS PRESENT Robert Hopkins, Sharyn Riley, Ronald Lafond ALSO PRESENT Christine Lessing-Provost, Attorney to the Board NEW BUSINESS Robert Hopkins: We have no minutes to approve this meeting. We have the proposal from S&M Bluebird to be under consideration and tonight there will be no discussion of the Merits of that. First of all, as required by the Rules, I have to read the Rules. Robert Hopkins: Reads Rules. Robert Hopkins: We are in receipt, as are the tenants, of the copy of the proposal from S&M Bluebird regarding the increase of rates requested. You should of all received a copy of that. I believe S&M has already sent the letter and all information to the tenants, is that correct Mr. Dugre? Marc Dugre: Yes. Robert Hopkins: Okay, you had until February 6th to do that. The tenants have until March 8th, no later, to get to our office at the Law Department to get any response from the tenants, proposals, issues, questions, have to be submitted in writing to the Board by March 8th, close of business day. Okay, any questions. Christine Lessing Provost: I just have one procedural issue I need to address. The Board is only a Board in a meeting where there is a quorum. People are calling them individually, and they should not. individual Board members may not speak to you so don’t take it personally if they are not returning your call. They have been advised not to return your calls on an individual basis because the actual meeting is where they can hear questions and concerns. So for those of you that might have made individual phone calls to individual Board members I just wanted to clarify that and explain why they’re not calling you back. You will have your opportunity to speak about anything relating to this proposal at the hearing on April 8th. Robert Hopkins: Any other business to come before us today?
