TOWN OF CICERO TOWN COUNCIL STAFF MEETING MINUTES THURSDAY, JUNE 13, 2024 at 6:00 PM Call to Order: President Lutz called the meeting to order. Present: Christopher Lutz Absent: Joe Cox Eric Hayden Dennis Johnson Emily Pearson Others Present: Rhonda Gary, Clerk Treasurer 1. Parks – a. Superintendent Hunter presented his 2025 Parks Budget to the Council. b. Trail – Superintendent Hunter asked Council’s blessing to use remaining trail funds to continue trail improvement. Council was ok with that. c. Morse Waterways – Superintendent Hunter stated that he has connected Morse Waterways Association with Mr. Culp to work out agreements and documentation for the lake cleanup this year. d. Master Plan – Superintendent Hunter would like to update the 5-year master plan to reflect the newly appointed Parks Board. This will allow grant opportunities for the Parks Department. The cost is $4,000.00 but will extend the master plan an additional two years. Council was ok with that. 2. Police – a. Chief Rednour presented his 2025 Police Department Budget to the Council. b. Commissioner Replacement – Ms. Gary will add to the July Staff Meeting. 3. Plan – Director Zawadzki presented his 2025 Plan Commission Budget to the Council. 4. Project Coordinator – a. Mr. Strong presented his 2025 Project Coordinator Budget to the Council. b. Mr. Strong stated that he is working with Chief Overholser to comply with the 7/1/25 requirement from the state to livestream the town’s meetings. c. Mr. Strong gave an update on the road repair between Cass and Jackson Street. He stated that Superintendent Cooper and his team have done a fantastic job. d. Mr. Strong updated the Council concerning the demolition of 160 W Jackson Street. e. Mr. Strong updated the Council concerning the test wells. 1  5. Clerk Treasurer – Ms. Gary presented her 2025 Clerk Treasurer Budget to the Council. Ms. Gary presented the Town Council 2025 Budget to the Council as well as the CCD, CCI and GO Bond 2025 Budgets.
