TOWN OF CICERO TOWN COUNCIL STAFF MEETING MINUTES THURSDAY, MARCH 12, 2026 at 7:00 PM Call to Order: President Cox called the meeting to order with all five members present. Present: Joseph Cox Absent: Jacob Everett Dennis Johnson Eric Hayden Emily Pearson Others Present: Rhonda Gary, Clerk Treasurer Dan Strong, Project Coordinator 1. Town Council – Council had nothing to present. 2. Plan – Mr. Zawadzki was not present. 3. Fire – a. Chief Frazier presented and elaborated on the lateral transfer language. Ms. Gary will add this to the April agenda for adoption. b. Ambulance – There was a brief discussion concerning financing the new ambulance that should be ready soon. 4. Police – Chief Rednour asked Council’s blessing to move forward with hiring a new police officer as it is in his budget. Council is good with Chief Rednour moving forward. 5. Water/Wastewater – Mr. Hayden stated that the county would like a Letter of Support from the Town of Cicero; however, he would like to revise the language. President Cox will talk to Commissioner Heirbrandt for clarification. 6. Clerk Treasurer – Ms. Gary had nothing to present. 7. Project Coordinator – a. Trailhead Project – Mr. Strong gave an update and included the cost of the trailhead project. b. Mr. Strong asked Council for guidance on the renting some town property for farming. c. Mr. Strong relayed that the Plan Commission is working on updating old ordinances. He stated that the last revision was approximately $38,000 for consulting fees. He also stated that funds will need to be appropriated in the future for engaging a consultant. 8. Parks Dept – Superintendent Hunter was not present. Motion to Adjourn: Mr. Hayden made the motion. Ms. Pearson seconded, motion carried 5-0.
