Members of the audience will later have the opportunity to address the Commission regarding ALL OTHER ITEMS ON THE AGENDA at the time the Commission considers those items. At this time the Commission will take public comment for 30 minutes. Public Comment will resume later in the meeting if there are speakers who did not get an opportunity to speak because of the 30-minute time limit. The Brown Act prohibits the Commission from taking action on oral requests relating to items that are not on the agenda. The Commission may engage in a brief discussion, refer the matter to staff, and/or schedule requests for consideration at a subsequent meeting. The Commission requests, but does not require, speakers to identify themselves. When you come up to speak, please state your name unless you wish to remain anonymous. COMMUNITY AND HUMAN SERVICES COMMISSION MEETING MINUTES OF FEBRUARY 6, 2019 Recommendation: Staff recommends that the Community and Human Services Commission approve and file the Community and Human Services Commission meeting minutes of February 6, 2019. COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES Recommendation: Staff recommends that the Community and Human Services Commission receive and file the January 16, 2019 Teen Committee meeting minutes. UPDATE ON TREE REMOVALS AND PLANTINGS FOR JANUARY Recommendation: Staff recommends that the Community and Human Services Commission receive and file the tree removals and plantings list for January 2019. ELECTRIC VEHICLE CHARGING STATIONS INSTALLATION PROJECT Recommendation: Staff recommends that the Community and Human Services Commission: A. Review and approve the proposed location for the electric vehicle charging stations; and B. Approve the donation of an additional charging station valued at approximately $7,000 to provide a total of three dual-port electric vehicle charging stations and forward its recommendation to the City Council for final review and approval. DISCUSSION ON HOMELESS EMERGENCY AID PROGRAM (HEAP) FUNDING (ORAL REPORT) Recommendation: Staff recommends that the Community and Human Services Commission recommend to the City Council that they write a letter to Supervisor Solis about Addendum 2 and 3 of the Los Angeles Homeless Service Authority (LAHSA) Request for Proposal for HEAP Funds.
