Department Report: Chairperson Redd reminded everyone of the satellite center located at 111 Cunningham Lane to pay your bill as well as other services listed at the City of Clarksville web page. The Mayor also mentioned that the old location was successfully auctioned off for over $600,000. NEIGHBORHOOD & COMMUNITY SERVICES COMMITTEE Chairperson Stacey Streetman 1. Department Report: Chairperson Streetman shared that an average of 25 persons were served each day at the cooling center during the months of July and August. She also mentioned the community event on September 17 at Burt Event Center regarding the Red River neighborhood and the Sustainability Expo on September 24. PARKS & RECREATION COMMITTEE Chairperson Travis Holleman 1. Department Report: Councilperson Holleman reported on Riverfest and congratulated the Parks and Recreation department on their CAPRA Accreditation. He also mentioned the Coy Lacey Park ribbon cutting ceremony September 16. PUBLIC SAFETY COMMITTEE Chairperson Travis Holleman 1. Department Reports: Chairperson Holleman then reported that CPD number of responded calls was 12,764 calls. There was an increase in traffic stops (20%). CFR responded to 1500 calls and is currently working on their SWIFT water certification for water rescue. There are also 13 vacancies in the Fire Department. TRANSPORTATION-STREETS-GARAGE COMMITTEE Chairperson Wanda Smith 1. Department Reports: Chairperson Smith reported that CTS transported 46,776 passengers for the month of August. CTS bus rodeo was on August 28.
