Councilperson Redd seconded. Councilperson then made a motion to combine RESOLUTION 57-2022-23, RESOLUTION 56-2022-23 and ORDINANCE 106-2022-23. There were no objections. Councilperson Streetman then made a motion to postpone until the June 1, 2023 Regular Session. Councilperson Zacharias seconded. Chairperson Holleman reported that call center handled 11,000 calls, the service department handled 5,941 work orders and the billing division read 110,487 meters with an accuracy of 99.97% NEIGHBORHOOD & COMMUNITY SERVICES COMMITTEE Chairperson Joe Shakeenab 1. Chairperson Shakeenab reported the staff is working on their annual action plan. PARKS & RECREATION COMMITTEE Chairperson Brian Zacharias 1. Chairperson Zacharias reported on upcoming events. PUBLIC SAFETY COMMITTEE Chairperson Wallace Redd 1. Chairperson Redd reported CPD is graduating that latest group of the Citizens Academy and said they are taking applications for the next session. He also reported the new CFR facility is under construction and set to swear in 12 recruits in May. TRANSPORTATION-STREETS-GARAGE COMMITTEE Chairperson Wanda Smith 1. Mayor Pitts gave Chairperson Smith’s report in her absence. He reported that transit transported 43,527 passengers in April and reminded everyone to use the CTS app. The Street Dept completed 169 work orders in April and completed 927 spring clean up tickets. MAYOR AND COUNCIL MEMBER COMMENTS 1. Councilperson Streetman reminded everyone of the upcoming budget meetings 2. Councilperson Marquis reminded everyone of the first of the month reading program at Rotary Park 3. Councilperson McLaughlin mentioned International Female Ride Day 4. Councilperson Zacharias congratulated his mother for graduating from college 5. Councilperson Allen congratulated Councilperson Reynolds on earning her degree 6.
