GAS & WATER COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES September 19, 2019 City Hall Conference Room 3:45 p.m. MEMBERS PRESENT Chairman Valerie Guzman, Gary Norris MEMBERS ABSENT Ron Erb, Tim Chandler, David Allen OTHERS PRESENT Mark Riggins, Troy Jones, Dawn Thomack, Katina Spainhoward, Stephanie Fox, Mandy Phillips The meeting was called to order at 3:55 p.m. by Chairman Valerie Guzman announcing no meeting quorum. Minutes for the August 22, 2019 committee meeting will be forwarded to the October meeting due to the lack of a quorum. Bad Debt was reported by Dawn Thomack by explaining the write-off report for the month of August 2019. Dawn Thomack also reported the Financials for the month of August 2019. Katina Spainhoward reported the Bid-Summary for the month. Katina Spainhoward also reported the following professional services:  Engineering Services for the Utility Relocation at the Intersection of Whitfield Road and Needmore Road from HDR Engineering, Inc. in the amount of $253,000.00.  Miscellaneous Geotechnical, Construction Materials Testing and Environmental Assessment Services from Earth Science Engineering, LLC in the amount of $15,000.00. Katina Spainhoward reported the sale of surplus property on GovDeals.com for the month of August 2019 in the amount of $32,368.99. Mark Riggins presented and discussed the department reports included in the packet. Mark also gave updates on the progress of the Customer Service policies and procedures, the purchase of property of the new NSC location, and proposed agreements with EMUD and WUD. ORDINANCE 26- 2019-20 pertaining to advertising, logos, emblems, etc. on City water tower tanks was forwarded to full City Council without Committee approval due to the lack of a quorum. Meeting was adjourned at 4:19 p.m.
