F He reviewed the previously submitted monthly report. > He noted the drastic increase in permits for the 2d2l calendar year on Single Family permits and related this to staffing. > Mr. Smith opened the floor for questions. No questions were asked. POLICE DEPARTMENT: r Chief David Crockarell spoke on behalf of the police Department. > He reviewed the previously submitted monthly > He noted 1l new officers were tentatively hired.report. Aowever, l6 vacancies r.emain. F He discussed the cops Grant and how it cunently relates to his department. Councilpercon Reynolds had some concem in regards to possibly iosing the funds when an officer drops out. Chief Crockarell described, in detail, il'ow the Cops Grant works in regards to funding. > cPD is expected to be in the new precinct by the end of June/first ofAugust with a grand opening to follow. > In efforts to engage with the community, CpD resumed ,Coffee with a Cop, x of 511912021. > chiefcrockarell opened the floor for questions. No questions were asked. FIRE & RESCUE DEPARTMENT: o chief Freddie Montgomery spoke on behalf of the Fire & Rescue Department. > He noted, as previously stated, the CFR has a new platlorm uied for reporting which explains the increase in stats shown. Due to this, he has summarized the rcport (see attached). F He reviewed thc surnmarizcd report for CFR. ts He notcd CFR has 3 vacancies. F He noted the ncw Fire & Maintenance Buirding is in its final stages with an expected grand opening mid-Junc. > CFR is hiring and thc application process is online. COMMITTEE ACTION REQUIRED: NONE CITY COUNCIL ACTION REQUIRED: 1. Resolution 74-2020-21: A Resorution Authorizing an Interrocar Agreemcnt between the City of Clarksville, Tennessee, and the Egll Emergen'cy c.mmunicatio. District of Montgomery county, Tennessee (cf,ief br.ockarell) > Chief Cockar.ell brought Resolution 74_202O_Zl to rhe cornrnittee. ) He noted that this resorution has to be renewed annuafly and rhey wi[ be doing this as long as they are in the building. > CPD is paying .rent' to have their dispatchers in the 9l I center. The building is nor owned by CpD. F After general discussion, no additional questiors or. concerns were rroted. > Motion to applove: Councilwoman Evans > Seconded by: Councilperson Little > Tlre rnotion was unanimously passed on the first reading. 2, Resolution 71-2020-2lz A Resolution Authorizing a Memorandum of Agreement with Fort Campbell, Ky. For Fire Fighting Assistance (Chief Montgomery) > Motion to set Resolution 7l-2020-21 before the board: Councilwoman Reynolds > Seconded by: Councilperson Little > Chief Montgomery brought Resolution 7I-ZO2O-21to the committee. > He noted the resolution is already in place but needed to be updated. It can be canceled with Fort Campbell with a 30 day notice. > After general discussion, no additional questions or concems noted. > Councilperson Garrett called for a vote with none opposed. >- The motiou was unanimously passed on the first reading.
