March 18, 2020 **For Immediate Release** Re: March 25, 2020 Regularly Scheduled Regional Planning Commission Meeting Postponed Due to the events surrounding the recent COVID-19 (Corona virus) pandemic both Montgomery County and the City of Clarksville Mayors have issued state of emergency declarations in order to minimize person to person contact through a variety of means. The Regional Planning Commission has been working with a very limited staff in the office since Monday in order to answer the phones and process normal work. All other employees have been taking work home in order to keep the application process moving. T.C.A. 13-3-404 allows Regional Planning Commissions to conduct business on the next available regularly scheduled meeting when “unexpected interceding events that would close municipal or county government offices” occur and interfere with the normal window to act on subdivisions. In order to minimize staff, commissioners, and the publics’ exposure to COVID-19 we are postponing the agenda for the March 25, 2020 meeting and all items will be placed on the next available meeting, which, at this point, is April 29, 2020 at 2pm. That meeting will commence will all “old business” from March first then continue with Aprils’ agenda. We will continue to monitor our main phone line (931-645-7448) Monday through Friday between 8:00AM and 4:30PM and will answer questions or route them to the appropriate staff member. All staff have access to their work email and are best reached through that means. We continue to monitor this situation with our city and county leadership daily, sorry for the inconvenience but thank you for your understanding.
