TRUTH IN TAXATION HEARING TO RECEIVE PUBLIC COMMENT ON THE CERTIFIED TAX RATE BACKGROUND: The Clearfield City Council adopted a tentative budget for fiscal year 2025 on May 14, 2024 and set a public hearing on the certified tax rate for August 13, 2024. The Council is now proposing to adopt the fiscal year 2025 budget, which includes a tax rate of 0.001209. This would be an increase from last year’s rate of 0.001202. The proposed certified tax rate would be higher than the certified tax rate of 0.001153 proposed by Davis County, consequently, requiring a “truth in taxation” hearing.
